Do you have any set packages?


Here at the Cutlers Hall, we do not have set packages as we believe that all weddings are different therefore we bespoke all packages to suit all clients from budgets to guest numbers (day/evening).

 

How do I reserve a date?


To reserve your ideal date for your event you may contact us at sales@cutlershall.co.uk to enquire about dates. Please title your email with the date you are looking for alongside your name and type of event and we will get back to you within 24 hours.


 

Will I have to pay a deposit? How do the payments work?


Once we have received a signed copy of the contract we will then raise the deposit. The deposit to secure the venue is £1,000. This amount will be taken from the total cost of your event. The final invoice will be raised 6 weeks prior to the event based on contracted numbers. All payment methods accepted.


 

Can we visit the venue beforehand to get a feel of the day?


We recommend that you visit Cutlers Hall before your event. As gorgeous as the venue is in photographs, nothing compares to viewing the rooms in person. This will help you get a more thorough understanding of which rooms you will be using, the layout of the rooms and how your event will go ahead, We kindly request that all site visits are made in advance, as we are not available for walk-ins. What is included in the venue hire in regards to complimentary items?


At the Cutlers Hall, we understand that money can often be tight therefore we do offer a range of complimentary extras.

These are:

Fully manned cloakroom

Commissionaires to meet and greet all guests

Branded menu cards

Branded name cards

Table centrepieces

Cake stand and knife (round or square)

Bar facilities throughout the day (Cash/Card/Account)

Crisp white table linen and white linen napkins

Wedding Co-ordinator throughout the planning process

Early access to venue for set up/day prior access pending events

Bridal Suite available (Goodwin Room) Selected AV Equipment

 

Will the venue be exclusive to us on our event date?


The team here at Cutlers Hall will go the extra mile to make sure the venue has what it takes to guarantee an unforgettable event. This means that we will ensure your event is the only one taking place at our venue.


Exclusive use of our venue will guarantee your privacy for the duration of your event. This ensures that you won't bump into or see anyone on the day that isn't a guest at your wedding. One of the benefits of having exclusive use of our venue is that everything can be held in one place so you don't have to worry about guests having to drive around after the ceremony if you decide to get married at Cutlers Hall.

 

What is the event process like?


The team here at Cutlers Hall will go above and beyond to create the event exactly the way you envisaged. Throughout the process, you will be liaising with the event planners to ensure everything is covered from table plans to room layouts, timings to dietaries.

We advise that you book a tour or site visit beforehand to get a feel of the venue. Here we discuss what will happen on the day and answer any questions you may have.

On the day of your event you will have access to the venue from 8am onwards depending on events, early access can be provided at an additional cost, this is to start working on your special day. You will be greeted by our commissionaires at the entrance and there will be event staff present on the day to help with the organisation and to set up the rooms as you envisage.

Your event will then take place; the timings will be discussed prior to the day and adhered to.

Don't worry about cleanup, as our dedicated team take that stress away and are responsible for the tidying down of the venue.

We understand that after an event (and a few glasses of prosecco) that you may want to leave some items/belongings at the venue. We will keep these safe and secure until you are able to collect on the next available date.

 

What is the venue capacity?


For weddings our capacity is 350 guests.

For conferences our capacity is 550 delegates.

Do you have accommodation?


We do not have any accommodation on site. We do, however, recommend and work closely with these neighboring hotels;

Do you provide a registrar, catering, photographers, decorations and DJs?


We do not have an in house registrar. We recommend booking one through the town hall.


In terms of catering, we have an in house catering team who lovingly prepare all the food onsite using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible for our seasonal menus.


We have an inhouse DJ at £350 (excluding VAT) based on 2022 pricing.


We do not have our own photographers or decorators at this time. However, you are more than welcome to contract with outside providers and have them onsite. We just ask that you let us know so we may have the appropriate waivers in place for each professional.

 

What time can we play music until?


Our venue is fully licensed to play music until 01:00.


 

What are the bar prices like?


In terms of bar prices, we are not as cheap as a working mans club however we are not as expensive as city centre bars. We are constantly reviewing prices to fall in line with other city centre venues.

 

What menus are available?


Our in house catering team lovingly prepare all the food onsite using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible for our seasonal menus. We are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements or even create a bespoke menu to cater for your individual vision. We are extremely proud of the standard of our food and pride ourselves on the outstanding feedback we continually receive from our clients.

How many staff will be working on the day?


As we like the service to run smoothly here at Cutlers Hall, we have adequate staffing numbers based on your number of guests.
